curious drawings to stare at during moments of idle time by paul petard

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll have noticed me ripping off and bigging up Paul Petard’s artwork, text and cartoons. The latter especially should be familiar to most readers of anrcho-commie UK zines over the last 10 years.

His latest little booklet is now out (I found it in Housmans in London) and is more “abstract” I guess than the cartoons in More Politics Please. This means they are less easy to use as clip art by lazy sods like me, but are actually something you might go back to and mull over. There’s a lot here about the fiddly bits of alienation in modern society that aren’t all that easy to express in words, but do come across very well here in less direct form (for me…)

paulpetard.com is up and features scans of the old Armchair zine in all its messy photocopied glory, plus some newer texts.

Curious Drawings to stare at during moments of idle time is available for a quid plus p&p from ppetard “at” hotmail d-o-t com or write c/o 22 Rangewood Ave, Reading RG30 3NN, UK.
