NEWS 23/07/01

This month I have mostly been moving house.
Shout outs to Jason Skeet, Chris P, Jon and my parents for helping to shift stuff.

NEW ON THE SITE THIS MONTH:

DUB SECTION

The major contribution to the site this time is a complete reprint of the NME's four page Soundsystem Splashdown article from 1981. It includes interviews with legendary Soundmen Lloyd Coxsone, Fatman Hi-Fi and a controversial look at Jah Shaka. Plus loads of great photos.

I have also added a page concerning the NEL pulp-novelisation of the film Babylon.

And probably some other bits I have forgotten about.

PLUS:

Post-Operative Aural Medicine by Paul Condon - an excellent article about Nurse With Wound and their influences. The piece originally appeared in 1991 and was hailed at the time as one of the best things ever written about the group by none other than Stephen Stapleton. It has been revised by the author for Uncarved.
